So you’ve given up one or more of your favourite vices for Lent and you’re actually doing really well. But between St. Patrick’s Day, 6 nations rugby and the 2020 Euro qualifiers, the opportunity to go a little off the rails if rife. Even more so considering that a large element of all these events revolves around alcohol.
Even if you are not a drinker or are not planning to have a few drinks, having your routine broken can knock you off course.
Here are 360 Fitness’ Top Tips to help you enjoy the month of March and all it has to offer, without ruining your fitness and weight loss plans!
Drink the right stuff.
Be sure to fill up on water, it will aid your weight loss and keep you super alert. If you are planning on having a few drinks over the event packed weekends this month, try working a glass of water in between each alcoholic drink. You’ll thank us the next day!
Try something new!
The weather is getting a little better so use this time to try something new. Be it a new recipe from 360 Fitness newsletter, a new exercise class, or maybe visit a park for the kids to play in (kick the ball around and fit some exercise in while having fun!).
Get back on track.
Try and limit any indulgences to just one day. When you wake up after a night out, start the day with a power walk and get your head back in the game. A Post Paddy’s detox might be just the trick to make you feel as fresh as a shamrock after a busy weekend.
Plan ahead.
Pack a healthy picnic/lunch to take with you, (or plan where you will get your lunch out that’s healthy and keeps you on track) when going to see outdoor events and festivals, try making a smoothie and bringing it with you so lunch on the go.
To your health and fitness,
