From day one Ciaran has been a fantastic motivator.

What was life like before you became a member?
My life was mainly based around my work.
At the time you enrolled, were you already exercising? What was your previous background in fitness?
No. The closest I had to any physical activity was my job as a carpenter.
What originally prompted you to seek us out?
I needed a life change – to do something for myself. I dropped under 10 stone in weight. I knew if I committed to training a few times/week it would help me both increase my weight in a positive way but also help me give up smoking.
What was your goal when you originally signed up?
To put some lean muscle on, increase my level of fitness and generally tone up.
Why was this important?
Over the previous few months, my weight had dropped considerably to an unhealthy level for my height.
How long had you had this goal?
It was always in the back of my mind…
What were the top 1-2 things that held you back from achieving your goal?
I found it very difficult to find the time between work and home. Also, I used to smoke 20 cigarettes/day which made me a little hesitant of starting a fitness program as I was afraid I would be a little too out of shape to start straight into it.
What had you tried before in order to get to your goal?
I was always conscious of the hours I worked and the number of cigarettes I smoked daily and I had tried on numerous occasions to reduce both.
Were you more driven to solve a problem or achieve a goal?
Achieve a goal.
What have you liked best about working with us?
The format and type of exercise administered by the 360 Fitness coaches. Also, I am always encouraged to step outside your comfort zone without being pushed to any extremes.
What challenges have you overcome that kept you from progressing faster with your goals?
To once and for all give up smoking – I haven’t smoked since I started with 360 Fitness.
How did you overcome them?
I thought of the importance of being fitter and healthier for my kids.
What are you most proud of since you started?
Getting stronger and seeing the change in my weight and shape has really boosted my confidence.
Seeing what you have achieved so far, has your view of yourself changed?
Yes, before I started, four evenings of training a week would have seemed too much of a commitment – but now I am hooked.
What else is different about your life since beginning your program?
I have turned into a bit of a fitness freak. My sweet tooth is gone.
I joined 360 Fitness at the beginning of September 2017 with the intention of strengthening and toning up. I had (what I thought) was a reasonable level of fitness from doing some running and swimming, however I soon learned after nearly passing out in the first class that this was going to be a different level altogether.
From day one Ciaran was extremely professionally and supportive in helping me to understand how important diet and exercise is while making my introduction to using weights and gym equipment I’d never used before easy and not intimidating. I’ve also found the weekly assessments with Ciaran are a great way of understanding why you may have had a great week or poor week while refocusing you for the week ahead.
The biggest benefit I have experienced from using 360 Fitness was a surprise to me, as it is not physical improvement but how much better I feel mentally each time I have completed a class with the lads. 360 Fitness has enabled me to find a great way of exercising in a fun and friendly environment while introducing me to a sustainable diet that has helped me achieve good results.
Three months ago, I was a seasoned gym goer, regular road runner and consistent diet follower without any of the desired results to illustrate my persistent effort. I was obsessed with the scales, annoyed with my figure and doubting its ability to change. Following Ciaran’s 360 approach to fitness has changed me from the inside out.
In our weekly assessments, I realised how much my own limiting beliefs and negative internal dialogue to my body would dictate the speed of my progress. The plan was no longer simply about how I fuel my body and how I train but even more importantly how I eliminate stress, visualize and meditate more.
Once I began to believe in myself, practiced being patient, while following the realistic food plan and mixed workouts, the effort paid off. I have tweaked how I define progress for myself in my head now, since then my body continues to follow suit. I feel more energised, body confident and stronger than I ever have, I’m 8 pounds lighter, 3% less body fat and a jeans size smaller, but the irony is that figures on the scale don’t seem so important anymore. I joined 360 Fitness in August. I had put on weight and had stopped exercising last December. I met with Ciaran and had my assessment and a personal plan put in place. Initially I was nervous and apprehensive about starting a fitness regime, however Ciaran’s calm and friendly manner put me at ease.
I really enjoy the training sessions. The numbers in the sessions are kept small making it a socially friendly experience. I have more energy again. I’m losing body fat and increasing muscle mass which is reducing my metabolic age. A big thank you for all your help.
I joined 360 Fitness at the beginning of July this year. When I went for my assessment I got quite a shock. I always thought I was reasonably fit and healthy as I exercised at least 3 to 4 times per week. I was way over weight my body fat was high and my muscle tone low and worse of all my metabolic age was way higher.
Now it’s the end of August and thanks to the two great guys at 360 Fitness Ciaran & Sean, I have attended 4 sessions per week and kept a check on my diet (still allowing for a few drinks at weekend) A girl has to live. I have lost 4 inches off my waist about 18 lbs and best of all my metabolic age has come down by 13 yrs happy days.

Until 360 Fitness I never liked exercise but now thanks to Ciaran and his ever changing training sessions, I love it. My first week I struggled to do a free standing squat and now I have Ciaran forever asking – more weight on that? It’s a great feeling.

This year I reached a turning point in my life. I was aged 33 and still complaining of my weight so I finally decided to do something about it.

Ciarán makes each workout challenging and dynamic. I feel like I am always doing a circuit that I have never done before and it takes the tediousness out of the workout.
I have felt better than I have done in years. I don’t dread exercise like I used to. The workouts are great and not intimidating in any way.

I met with Ciarán on a Tuesday. He did an assessment of my fitness levels and diet up to that point. Then he broke the news that I would have to report everything I ate and drank to him every day! This was something I had never done before. I was embarrassed to report the crap that I had eaten, and bad habits such as usually not eating breakfast, etc.
On assessment day we sat down and set a goal and target date. Mine was February 2015 and with Ciarán’s encouragement I actually reached that target in December 2014. We kept going though, and have set a new target to keep me motivated.
I am so incredibly happy, and I feel amazing. I lost 42lbs and have dropped four dress sizes in the three to four months that I have trained with Ciarán. I credit him for my amazing weight loss and increased fitness levels as he has seen me through the entire journey since I started with him in August 2014.
Ciarán is a brilliant, inspiring and wonderful fitness trainer. He looks after his clients very well and he makes sure that we all do classes at our own pace with no pressure, which is brilliant. He pushed me to reach new heights.
Classes make working out fun and motivating. Boredom never gets a chance to creep in as time flies and you are never given the chance to give up or slack off which is great if you have a competitive streak.
Going to 360 Fitness was one of the best decisions I have made in a very, very long time! I couldn’t have done this without the classes and Ciarán. There is no magic formula, just hard work and finding the classes and instructors that challenge you all and a good clean diet.

Since starting classes with Ciarán in 360 Fitness in September 2014, I have a completely changed and improved attitude towards health and fitness.
Before I began classes, I always thought of exercise as an annoying and boring task that I very rarely did, but now I really enjoy exercise and eating a healthier and balanced diet. In a very short time, I felt my fitness levels increase and with the help of Ciarán I managed to get my diet under control.
There is a great range of classes on offer with 360 Fitness which I find great as I never get bored doing the same class over and over again. In particular I find the resistance and mixed circuits classes amazing for working on my overall strength and fitness and I like the variety of exercises these classes offer.
Ciarán is a fantastic trainer. He is very patient and he pushes me more than I would ever push myself in a regular gym.
He gives me great advice during classes and also on my diet. I find the weekly assessments great as it helps to keep me motivated from one week to the next and it’s great to get an update on how I am doing.

I started 360 Fitness in October 2014 with the hope of shedding a few pounds for my impending nuptials. I had tried a number of exercise classes over the years but never stuck at them. I always found I got bored of the same exercise day in day out with no major results. It was always just a pound here and there, but nothing to encourage anyone to keep going.
Then a friend of mine started to attend Ciarán’s classes and I noticed fantastic results, so I decided why not try too. I usually gave up on other classes after just two to three months, but it’s now seven months on, my wedding is over, and I’m still going!
I really enjoy the workouts. There is a great range of classes on offer, and no class is ever the same. It’s like a lucky dip as you don’t know what to expect. I find them great as I never get bored.
My goal was to lose 14lbs by my wedding. I not only lost the weight – I lost inches and toned up too. I couldn’t have been happier with the results. Since I started, a number of friends have also joined because of the results they can see from Ciarán’s classes.
Ciarán is a fantastic trainer. He encourages you to push yourself without the usual intimidation and standing over you. My aim when joining 360 Fitness last year was to get into shape after my fitness had lapsed. With Ciarán’s help I toned up and improved my strength and fitness but the benefits of joining 360 Fitness were far broader than I anticipated. I find that I now have more energy, I sleep better and even my balance and posture have improved.
I attend classes and a weekly assessment with Ciarán. The classes are varied and always challenging. Ciarán is an excellent trainer and motivates me to push myself outside my comfort zone. He understands my strengths and capabilities and modifies the weights and exercises to suit whatever level I am at, achieving the maximum benefit from each session. Ciarán was very supportive when I recently sustained a sports injury, and adapted the exercises to suit the various stages of my rehabilitation.
The weekly assessments are a great way to monitor progress. Ciarán has an indepth knowledge of all aspects of nutrition and has given me valuable guidance on the right foods to eat to compliment the exercise I am doing.

I met Ciarán for the first time in September 2015. We had the previous weekend entertained two friends and we both noticed that the lady looked extremely toned. She told us about 360 Fitness.
I am 52 years old, and had not trained properly in nearly five years. I instead spend a lot of time just sitting down. This is because I drive a minimum of 1,800 km per week. In addition to this, my job is sedentary.
I started training on the day after I met Ciarán I trained four times during the first week and I can honestly say that every muscle screamed in pain.
This pain lasted for nearly two weeks. I was then training three times per week. This regime went on until the beginning of November when Ciarán introduced a training regime of four mornings per week, starting at 6am.
Ciarán pointed out that this was all about results. I weighed approximately 18st 11lbs when I began in September 2015 and have lost nearly a stone. I am lifting weights that I lifted 15 years ago and my physical strength is back.
My cardio fitness is better than it has been in years and even though I cannot see myself running any marathons, I am comfortable that I can play soccer or hurling with my son without the need for my wife applying CPR!
What does Ciarán offer in 360 Fitness?
The culture is one of camaraderie where you are greeted by a series of smiles at 5.55 a.m. each morning. I feel that Ciarán is always pushing us on to the next level and intuitively knows when you have enough.
There are exercises when you feel that you have nothing left and Ciarán will squeeze those last two or three reps out of you.
The routines are never repetitive and one never knows what is coming on any particular day.
You might be going through a circuit and then he introduces burpees or mountain climbers and one is shattered.
Ciarán is passionate about getting you the results that you are going after. He will give you the tools to achieve your goal whether it is losing weight, maintaining tone, building muscle or just maintaining fitness but the responsibility is on us to watch the food plan.
My fitness regime is something that I look forward to every day, sharing time with people of a like mind who are committed to getting the most out of 45 minutes and starting the day off with a smile.

I started training at 360 Fitness in June of this year as a veteran non-exerciser, hoping to improve my balance and strength which had been adversely impacted by illness.

Before I joined I was nearly allergic to exercise and very overweight.
I work different shift patterns and with the different group class times I can attend classes that suit.
